TWU's Occupational Health & Safety programs provide accident prevention and loss control measures that address specific poteintial hazards in the workplace. Effective accident prevention and loss control programs are the most effective cost containment measures the University can implement to reduce exposure. Accidents may be prevented by eliminating workplace hazards and redesigning job tasks or job sites to prevent occupational accidents. Occupational hazards that cannot be eliminated may be controlled through administrative controls such as procedures and employee training, and other loss control methods.

A number of Occupational Safety & Health programs are in the process of being developed or revised.  As the programs are finalized, links to their pages will appear below.

Safety & Health Programs

The above Occupational Safety & Health programs are developed under the authority of University Policy 6.02.  Policy 6.02 refers to the "Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health Manual" which is in the process of being replaced by the procedures maintained here on the Risk Management web site.
