Student assistants are generally paid minimum wage which is $7.25 per hour effective July 2009. If justification is provided, student assistants may be paid at a higher rate. Student assistants are paid on an hourly basis. The time period is the 16th of the month through the 15th of the following month. Hours will be entered and approved using the TWU Portal account. The paycheck for hours completed on the 15th of a month will be paid on the 1st of the next month.

Process to hire:

A student employee must complete the I-9 form and provide the required documentation as listed on the I-9 form by their start date. This MAY include a picture ID (usually a driver's license) and social security card. To hire a student employee, have the new student employees visit the Career Services office before their start date to complete the I-9 form as well as obtain the employment form which will need to be completed by the faculty member and student. Career Services is located in the Human Development Building, Suite 200.
