All funds for travel during the spring semester have been allocated and no additional applications can be accepted.
Applications are still being accepted for travel during the summer.
The Travel Assistance Fund enables faculty to defray some of the travel costs associated with presenting scholarly outcomes at professional conferences or meetings or attending meetings where they will receive a major award. In order to fund travel to conferences throughout the year, Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) will allocate money for fall (Sept 1 – Jan 15), spring (Jan 16 – May 31), and summer assistance (June 1 – Aug 31). It is anticipated that 20 awards will be given during the Fall, 20 awards during the Spring, and 12 awards for summer. A maximum of $800 will be funded.
Intended for faculty making major presentations, applicants must be full-time faculty of Texas Woman’s University (TWU) with a teaching appointment for 2014 – 2015. Adjunct faculty, faculty members with part-time employment or on modified service, and students are not eligible to apply. Only one trip per person will be funded in a fiscal year.
The application for funds should be received in the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (Denton) at least two weeks before departure although more time must be allowed for foreign travel requests. Applications will be reviewed on or around the 20th of each month.
