The Summer Stipend Program is intended to enhance scholarly productivity by providing faculty with unencumbered time and financial support to pursue their scholarly activity.† This may include initiating scholarly activity, continuing work on an existing project, and/or bringing a scholarly project to conclusion.† To this end, the Summer Stipend Program focuses on supporting ongoing scholarly activities.† This program embraces all forms of scholarly inquiry, research, and creative activity appropriate to the diverse disciplines that make up the University.

The Summer Stipend Program provides 50% - 100% of a faculty memberís salary and fringe benefits during the Summer Session (June, July, August) for scholarly productivity.† The amount of the Summer Stipend, when combined with other awards, cannot equal more than 100% of a faculty memberís salary.† All full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty at Texas Womanís University are eligible to apply for a Summer Stipend.
