Texas Woman's University makes available, through the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs, small grants to TWU faculty in support of research intended to become the basis for a proposal for external funding of a research grant. Small grants are primarily intended to allow principal investigators to take advantage of unusual opportunities that arise, particularly to obtain preliminary or pilot data. Grants are not intended to support conference travel or travel to present research results. Typically, only one grant per faculty member is awarded per fiscal year. Grants are generally for no more than $750, although exceptions can be made. Because of limited funds, priority is given to full-time faculty holding tenured or tenure-track appointments.
