Application materials are now available for the FY 2015 New Investigator Research Enhancement Program (REP). Proposals will be due via SharePoint by 5:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014.

The primary purpose of the REP is to provide seed money (up to $8,000) so that faculty members will be able to compete more successfully for larger research grants from external sources for continuation of their research. The REP provides support for all types of faculty research. All full-time tenure-track faculty members (not yet tenured) at Texas Woman’s University are eligible to apply and serve as investigators. 

The Research Support Committee looks favorably on proposals that are meritorious in the particular discipline; will enhance the applicant’s record of scholarship and research; will provide financial support and research experience for graduate students; and will furnish preliminary data for a project with good prospects for continuation through outside funding.

Applications must be submitted via SharePoint by 5:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014. In order to complete the application process, the system-generated cover page and attachments must be routed for signature and the signed cover page received in ORSP no later than Tuesday, October 7.  Application materials and instructions can be found here as a .pdf file. Please refer to these materials as you are completing the application form. To generate a new application online, go to SharePoint. You may be prompted for your Portal username and password. If you are accessing the site from an off-campus computer, you may need to add "" after your username to log in. Depending on the security settings of your computer, you may be required to log in more than once. Once you are logged into SharePoint, you will press the "new" button to initiate a new REP application. You will be able to save and edit the form until the SUBMIT button is actually used. DO NOT use the upload button to upload other files. More detailed information about using the online system can be found in the application guidelines and instructions.
