The REP provides seed money for tenured or tenure-track full-time faculty at Texas Woman's University. The primary purpose of the Research Enhancement Program is to provide seed money so that faculty members will be able to compete more successfully for larger research grants from external sources for continuation of their research. The REP provides support for all types of faculty research.
All full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members at Texas Woman’s University are eligible to apply and serve as investigators. Awards are limited to $8,000 and all grants end August 31 of the fiscal year. The Research Support Committee looks favorably on proposals that are meritorious in the particular discipline; will enhance the applicant’s record of scholarship and research; will provide financial support and research experience for graduate students; and will furnish preliminary data for a project with good prospects for continuation through outside funding.
The application process for the REP has substantially changed this year and applications must be submitted via SharePoint by 5:00 pm Thursday, April 25. In order to complete the application process, the system-generated cover page with attachments must be routed for signature and the signed cover page received in ORSP no later than Tuesday, April 30, 2013. In addition to the change in the submission process, the guidelines have also been modified to reflect changes in the federal funding environment as well including the requirement for an NIH Biosketch (click here for instructions, template, and sample biosketch).
