The University has a site license for an online survey software tool called PsychData.  PsychData is similar to other software programs, like Survey Monkey, but has additional features pertinent to academic research.  Some of the advantages of PsychData are that the data is collected more efficiently at less cost (paper, printing, and mailing fees), the data is cleaner, and there is a faster turnaround for researchers.

PsychData is an externally hosted online survey software which allows researchers to self-author, distribute, and collect data on the web at any time.  In addition, it allows for random assignment within and between surveys.

Researchers must have an account in order to access PsychData through TWU.  Only faculty can have an account, therefore, graduate students will have to use their faculty member’s account to post surveys.  If you need to establish an account, please send your name, department and e-mail to PsychData@twu.edu An account will be created and sent to you via email within three business days.

The software is very user friendly, so if you are currently using another software you should find PsychData very familiar.  For more information, visit the PsychData website at http://www.psychdata.com/.
