Description of research activities: Dr Gullion is an expert on the social representations of health threats. She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as the Archives of Internal Medicine, Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, Clinical Infectious Diseases, and Biosecurity and Bioterrorism, and is co-editor of the book, Voices in Sociology. Dr Gullion is currently conducting research on community health activism in the Barnett Shale.
