What is Pioneer Camp?
Pioneer Camp at Texas Woman’s University is a comprehensive and dynamic array of activities for incoming first-year students during the fall semester. These activities are designed to ensure first-year students every opportunity to connect with the institution, meet their peers, faculty and staff. The variety of activities include social, academic and networking opportunities for students.
How do I register for Pioneer Camp?
Registration for Pioneer Camp is open, however, you will not be able to register until you have attended your Orientation session.
Is there a cost associated?
The cost of attendance is included in your Orientation fees.
Do I have to pay for meals?
Meals during Pioneer Camp will be a mixture of complimentary and meal plan meals. Please note, while some meals are free throughout Pioneer Camp, during the regular school year you will be required to use your Dining Dollars and/or your Meal Plan to dine in the eating facilities on campus.
When will I receive my Pioneer Camp schedule?
You will receive your Pioneer Camp schedule when you check in.
What are the events?
The schedule for Pioneer Camp 2017 is in the works. For an example of the schedule, this is last year's events.
What should I go to? Are any of these events mandatory?
Attendance is expected at all sessions and events. There will be chances to win awesome prizes and additional giveaways during some sessions.
