Professional Interests:  

My current teaching responsibilities in the DPT curriculum include PT 6102 & PT 6111 Practice Management Issues I and II,  PT 6151  Psychosocial Aspects of Rehabilitation, and PT 6181 Professional Development for the PT.  Additionally, I also team teach in PT 6323 & PT 6343 Neuromuscular PT I and II on clinical content related to concussion, balance, vestibular rehabilitation and clinical integration.  I also coordinate and teach PT 6142 &  PT 6152 Health Promotion & Wellness I and II.  I completed  my PhD in Health Promotion and Wellness from Rocky Mountain University of Health Promotion and Wellness in Provo, Utah in 2016.  My research interests include (1) designing and implementing a Group Based Culturally Tailored Community Lifestyle Intervention Program to Reduce Risk Factors for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and (2) applying the PRECEDE-PROCEED Model for Health Promotion Program Planning During Community Service Learning Projects in the Entry-Level DPT Curriculum.  My clinical expertise is in the management of patients with neurologic dysfunction, especially traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
