Students enrolled in the class conduct an interview with a classmate in an effort to learn the valuable skills necessary to conduct an oral history. The interview also provides students with experience as an interviewee, thus providing a deeper appreciation for that role in Oral History. Students also gain important experience transcribing and editing an interview.
Current student interviews are archived in the Pioneers Oral History Project office, and many are available for research. Transcribed interviews will be posted online five years after the interview date, unless otherwise determined by the interviewee.
