Welcome
Hello,
On behalf of Alpha Sigma Lambda I would like to thank you for taking the time to consider becoming part of our organization. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself: my name is Amanda Johnson and I am the current president of TWU’s chapter, Sigma Rho, of ASL. I am 30 years old and currently a senior majoring in the education program. I heard of this organization and found all the support I was looking for once joining. You see, I know what it’s like to juggle the multiple lives we non-traditional students juggle such as work, family, and school. Sometimes it gets very tiring and frustrating to keep all those balls in the air and you just need to know that there are others like you out there. Well I’m here to tell you, “here we are and we’re all ready to support you!” Not only does ASL provide a basis of support for those of us that feel set apart from the “normal college student”, but it also provides recognition for all the hard work you do in the educational field. Our induction ceremonies are held once a semester in which family and friends are welcomed to attend. This provides those in your personal life an opportunity to become aware of your achievements and take the time to celebrate and congratulate you on all that you’ve accomplished. Also, because ASL is a national organization you will be able to graduate from the university with honors and have the option of wearing cords and a tassel with your graduation regalia. So please, if you fit the criteria in the qualifications section and you are interested in allowing yourself some recognition take the time to join Alpha Sigma Lambda. If you have any further questions regarding the organization or meeting the qualifications please feel free to email me.
Sincerely,
Amanda Johnson
