TWU's Houston Center is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, a world renowned complex of hospitals, health-related schools and research institutions. Opportunities are provided to become a part of the medical center environment by interacting with students and professionals in multiple health disciplines. To meet the needs of both our full time and part time students, TWU delivers innovative teaching via online distance education, evening and Saturday classes and includes use of high-fidelity patient simulators. Through online education, TWU also is addressing the critical need for more nursing faculty by preparing working nurses to become nurse educators. The city of Houston provides students the opportunity for diverse social and cultural activities and Galveston and the Gulf Coast area are nearby.
