Bachelor of Science Program

Texas Woman’s University main campus is located in Denton, Texas, and is a major public university with approximately 500 faculty members and over 10,000 students.  Texas Woman’s University has a distinguished reputation in health care fields, including nursing.  The Denton campus environment offers all the opportunities found at any major university – computer labs, library, fitness center, etc.  The TWU home page can provide in-depth information about the Denton campus.

Although the Denton campus does not have the upper division (Junior and Senior) nursing courses, this is the location in which most pre-nursing students can take all of the required prerequisite courses.  Students are advised during their Freshman year by the Academic Advising Center.  Sophomore students are advised by a Nursing Admission Coordinator to help them complete the prerequisites needed before applying for upper division nursing.

The Nursing Admission Coordinator also meets with individuals who are considering nursing as a career choice and provides information forums during the academic year for pre-nursing students.
