Dr. Caryl Mobley, Associate Dean, Dallas Center Welcome to the Dallas-Parkland Center of Texas Woman’s University College of Nursing. We are located adjacent to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, approximately five miles north of downtown Dallas.

Surrounded by four hospitals, including Parkland Memorial Hospital and Children’s Medical Center, and with a wide variety of clinical sites throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, we offer our nursing students an exceptional variety of clinical venues. Our state-of-the-art nursing practice labs offer simulation experiences from basic assessment skills through complex emergency and intensive care scenarios. At both the baccalaureate and master’s levels, our nursing faculty strives toward excellence in teaching and mentoring our students as they become the professional health care providers of tomorrow.

The Dallas nursing programs focus on use of innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.  Faculty members have been highly involved in developing evidence-based scenarios for human patient simulators and using them in a variety of research studies.  Many of our courses utilize a hybrid model that embraces both online instruction and materials and face-to-face interaction. Other research foci for the Dallas Center are women’s issues including violence, smoking cessation, timing of childbirth, and childbirth education among American Indian populations; child health and safety; and mentoring advanced practice nursing.

The Dallas-Parkland Center of TWU offers the following nursing programs:
