The Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (MH) and Texas Woman’s University Education Center for Clinical Innovations and Advanced Technologies is one of the few sites in the country to have  a Remote Monitoring system and Control Room (CORe).

This state of the art system includes hardware and software that allows “nurses” to view  and communicate with students  who are providing care in the simulation laboratory.  The system also includes eCareManager  software which contains an electronic documentation flow sheet, medication administration record, nursing care plan, and lab/radiology results viewing. eCareManager has an integrated point-of-care decision support and evidence-based practice module via The Source, an internet resource with built-in eAlertsto assist in providing high quality care. The impetus for this program came from the revolutionary eICU concept developed by VISICU and Johns Hopkins University.
