Undergraduate Scholarships

TWU offers a variety of scholarships to undergraduate students.  However, the College of Nursing provides academic scholarships to new and current nursing undergraduate students. 

Angela Denise Crockett, Officer Candidate Seaman U.S. Navy, Texas Woman's University, Class of 1932 Endowed Memorial Scholarship : Established by Charles Crockett, in memory of his daughter, Angela Denise Crockett. Scholarships are awarded according to the following criteria:

1) The student must be an entering freshman in the spring or fall semester;
2) The student's major must be within the College of Nursing;
3) The student's prior GPA must be compatible with the requirement for entrance into TWU to qualify for the initial scholarship; the student must maintain a GPA compatible with the requirements of TWU in order to receive the scholarship after the completion of the freshman year;
4) The student must demonstrate financial need as well as high moral and ethical standards to qualify for the scholarship. In addition, the recipient must possess the care and sensitivity to comfort the sick in their time of need;
5) Selection of the recipient(s) shall be made by a committee of representatives of the College of Nursing at TWU.
