About the Program

Texas Woman’s University Department of Music and Drama offers small classes and highly individualized instruction within a supportive environment. The performance programs prepare students for careers in performance and studio teaching. Private lessons are taught by professionals who are active performers, master teachers, clinicians and adjudicators.

TWU Music Education major uses his teaching skills on a mission trip in Mexico

Watch how Sam Guzman uses skills he learned in Intro to Music Ed and Elementary Methods in his work in Mexico this year. Not only did he help build houses, he taught music to children who don't have music classes in their schools.
