Christiane Gilbert currently serves as a Graduate Assistant in Music Education, with teaching responsibilities in both the Music Education and Vocal areas of study. She holds a BM degree from Southern Methodist University in Music Education and a Texas All-Level Teacher Certification in Music.

Upon her graduation from SMU Mrs. Gilbert was employed as an elementary music specialist at Morningside Elementary School in The Colony, Texas, where she also coached, judged, and coordinated the elementary UIL music memory competition for The Colony cluster in the Lewisville Independent School District. She has also served as Music Director of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in The Colony, where she conducted the choir and played the service music.

In keeping with her philosophy of music education, her son, Addison plays trumpet in The Colony High School Band and her daughter, Delanie, plays flute at Lakeside Middle School. He elementary-aged son, Everett, is an aspiring vocalist.
