Deadline to apply for TWU Scholarships is March 1.
- International students must apply for a scholarship as a New International student to be eligible for TWU International Scholarships. This is true even if you are a Transfer International Student.
- Incoming International Students MUST be immigration complete and our office must be ready to process your I-20 in order to be considered for a scholarship. International Students who are transfering from another U.S. college or university may be immigration complete except for transfering the SEVIS record.
- Scholarships are NOT based on financial need, but rather on merit (GPA, etc.)
Good Neighbor Scholarship: (Available in January) - This state of Texas scholarship provides a complete waiver of tuition to eligible international students from countries in the Caribbean and North, Central, and South America. Scholarship recipients must still pay all applicable university fees. Applicants compete with other international students from their home countries throughout the state of Texas for a limited number of awards that are given to a certain number of students from each country. Awards are based on academic merit. Competition is intense and final award decisions are made by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, not TWU.
