New Students at Orientation

For the individuals attending the Saturday Orientation (8/23/08), lunch will also be available for students staying past the noon hour through to 2:00 p.m. Please review carefully the sections that apply to you.

NOTE: As you map out your time on campus prior to the first day of Fall classes, please keep in mind that all fees must be paid by the Friday before that respective semester begins. Other tasks you may want to attend to before that initial day of class instruction includes registering for classes on-line after creating a Pioneer Portal Account, speaking one-on-one with the Registrar’s Office, inquiring more about Financial Aid, following up with your academic advisor, getting a locker, purchasing textbooks, making arrangements for a parking contract, getting familiar with the Texas Medical Center, etc.

Orientation Mentors and LeadersPlease be advised there is no cost at this point associated with Orientation hosted at the Houston site. Registration is accomplished upon arrival that morning. If at all possible, we would appreciate an email or phone call letting us know which session you will be attending. Please include another identifier (physical address and/or student ID number found in the upper right hand corner of your acceptance letter) so that we may ensure proper preparations within the TWU database for items like ID Badge and name buttons. We apologize but we are not able to accommodate child care during your attendance at Orientation.
