Academics
The TWU Institute of Health Sciences-Houston Center offers primarily upper-level and graduate studies. Qualified women and men are admitted to all academic programs which include the following:
- Health Care Administration (Department of)
- The Masters degree program in Health Care Administration prepares graduates for management positions in a variety of firms and organizations that comprise the health services industry. These organizations can include hospitals, clinics, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, and managed care settings.

- Nursing (College of)
- The College of Nursing offers the Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees at the Houston Center.The bachelors degree prepares students to begin the professional practice of nursing. The masters degree prepares professional nurses for leadership roles in the delivery of health care and the promotion of health. The doctoral program is designed for nurses who have developed a specialty clinical expertise. The goal of the doctoral program is to develop leaders and scholars who will make a significant contribution to the nursing profession.

- Nutrition and Food Sciences (Department of)
- The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences - offers masters degrees in Nutrition. In addition the combined Masters and Dietetic Internship prepares students to be Registered Dieticians. The advanced study in areas of specialization and research provides students with the background and skills to be leaders in the field.

- Occupational Therapy (School of)
- The School of Occupational Therapy offers the entry level Master of Occupational Therapy, Master of Arts and Doctoral degrees in Occupational Therapy, as well as an advanced practice certificate program for individuals not seeking a masters degree.

- Physical Therapy (School of)
- The School of Physical Therapy offers coursework leading to three separate graduate degrees. The professional
Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree, designed for individuals with
baccalaureate degrees in another field; the post professional Master of
Science, offered to practicing physical therapists; and the PhD degree, is offered to encourage individuals with a professional degree in physical therapy to prepare for a future in education or research.
