Honors Scholar Program

In order to apply candidates must

  • complete the Honors Scholar Program Application
  • have been admitted to or have applied for admission to TWU,
  • have copies of transcripts on file with TWU
  • have copies of SAT or ACT scores on file with TWU, and
  • meet eligibility requirements as outlined below.

Candidates should generally be able to satisfy at least one of the following requirements:

  • a score of 1220 or higher on the SAT (Math +Reading)
  • a score of 28 or higher on the ACT
  • graduation in the top 5% of high school class,
  • a minimum grade point average of 3.5 after 15 hours of college credit at TWU, or
  • completion of an honors program at a two-year college

Application Deadline: There is no set application deadline for the Honors Scholar Program. The priority application deadline is March 15, 2014, however, applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all available spots in the Honors Scholar Program are filled.

Touchstone Honors Program

In order to apply candidates must

  • have been admitted to or have applied for admission to TWU,
  • have copies of transcripts on file with TWU,
  • meet eligibility requirements as outlines below.

Candidates for The Touchstone Program should generally have earned:

  • a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.30,
  • have completed 15-60 hours of college credits, excluding AP or other credit by examination

Application Deadline: There is no set application deadline for The Touchstone Honors Program. The priority application deadline is April 1, 2014, however, applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all available spots in the Touchstone Program are filled.
