Ruth E. Tandy, Ph.D. – better known as "Betsy" or "Dr. T." was an inspiration to all who knew her.  It is almost one year since Dr. Tandy lost her eleven-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. 

"Dr. T" taught at TWU from 1968 until her retirement in 1995.  Along the way, she influenced for the better countless Kinesiology students and her faculty colleagues, as well.  All who knew her were influenced by her code of ethics and integrity.  She will be remembered for her loyalty to family and friends and her deep love of her students.  Dr. Tandy received numerous honors during her distinguished education career.  YOU have an opportunity to honor Dr. Tandy’s memory by contributing to the Ruth E. "Betsy" Tandy Scholarship in Intercollegiate Athletics.
