Dr.Kai Li TsaiDr. Tsai received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from China Medical College in Taiwan, a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University, School of Public Health and a Ph.D. in Health Services from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Tsai has served faculty positions at China Medical College in Taiwan as lecturer, Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi (2000-2005), Associate Professor and Program Director of the Master of Science Program in Health Administration at College of Business and Economics, Houston Baptist University, from 2005-2007; and has been a part of Texas Woman’s University, Master Program of Health Care Administration as Assistant Professor, since 2007.

Dr. Tsai’s study interests include: competition and market structure on health care quality, quality management in health care, cost containment, performance measurement and promotion, health care disparity, and equity improvement for access to health care services, especially for the vulnerable groups. Publications and professional presentations have included work on Health Service Management Research, International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance, Journal of Health Care Finance and Journal of Health Information Management JHIM; Academy Health Annual Meetings.
