Outdoor Adventure Program
"I travel to learn" - Mark Twain
The Outdoor Adventure Program exists to promote the great outdoors by providing low cost trips, equipment rentals, and travel resources to the TWU community. We offer several trips throughout the year including overnight and day trips. Previous trips have taken us whitewater rafting in Colorado, snow skiing in Canada and snorkeling in Hawaii! Whether you are a beginner or advanced outdoor enthusiast, we have a trip for you. Join us and get out of Denton to explore the great outdoors!
We are on facebook! "Like us" and be one of the first to find out about upcoming activities and programs!
Outdoor Adventure Rental Center
Hours: Monday through Friday 3pm - 8pm
While our trips are only open to current TWU students, the OAC rental program is open to the TWU community. Located in the Student Recreation Center, the OAC provides various outdoor equipment rentals including kayaks, tents, bikes and more. We also have an extended library of travel books, DVD's and magazines from the United States and around the world to help you research your next adventure or activity. All of our resources can be checked out for free to current TWU students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID.
Equipment and resources available in the OAC
All rentals are on a first come, first serve basis. Contact the OAC (940-898-2900) during open hours for more information or call the Fitness Center front desk (940-898-2900).
