SAMFT helps students interested in becoming marriage and family therapists enhance their education, broaden their networks, and launch their careers in marriage and family therapy. As a student of the Family Therapy program, it is *mandatory* that you join. As a student member, you use your voice to provide information to other members and alumni as well as with the FamilyTherapy faculty. In addition, each semester, you are offered access to discounted professional development and training workshops andopportunities to network with licensed professionals working within the community. These opportunities provided by SAMFT are not only educational but are also a lot of fun!

SAMFT has a general assembly meeting one time during the fall and spring term. The Executive Committee meets monthly and all members are welcome to attend the Executive Committee meetings.

SAMFT has a new anonymous student opinion survey where students can give feedback about the Family Therapy program. SAMFT's Vice President shall serve as a liaison between the students in the Family Therapy Programs and the Family Therapy faculty in order to enhance communication within the Family Therapy Programs. The Vice President shall share the information from the survey twice a semester, as part of the Family Therapy faculty’s biweekly component meetings.

The survey can be found at the following link: https://www.psychdata.com/s.asp?SID=165934
