TWU Drama seeks an enthusiastic, well-rounded colleague interested in working in an intense and rewarding environment in which professional collaboration, student-centered learning and departmental growth are top priorities. TWU Drama produces four main-stage shows per year and offers a BA in Drama, a BA with Teaching Certificate in Drama and a hybrid online MA in Drama. The successful candidate will possess a resilient self-motivational instinct, effective and adaptable classroom management and pedagogical skills, and strong collaborative and organizational skills.

Responsibilities will involve teaching on both the undergraduate and graduate level. The courses include but are not limited to: theatre appreciation, theatre history, dramatic literature, directing and acting. There is also the possibility of teaching special topics courses based upon departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: directing one show per year, service and committee work to the department and university, recruiting, advising, developing and maintaining professional affiliations and activities on a regional, national and international level, supervising student creative/production activities and carrying out outcomes-based assessments. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Theatre, have prior university teaching experience, be familiar with online learning methods, and possess some professional production experience. In addition to the application requirements listed above, candidates should submit a one page statement of teaching philosophy and a sample course syllabus.
