Texas Woman's University offers varied opportunities for student involvement in service and leadership development.

The University Student Life Office offers students a choice of many clubs, organizations, sororities, special entertainment programs and recreational activities.

The Dental Hygiene Program sponsors an active student chapter of the  American Dental Hygienists’ Association. The chapter holds business meetings, hosts speakers on topics of professional interest, service projects, social activities, and participates in state and national organization activities.

Dental Hygiene students attend state and national professional conferences and meetings and even make professional presentations at some meetings.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in professional programs and service projects sponsored by the local dental hygiene professional association, the North Texas Dental Hygienists' Society, Greater Fort Worth SocietyDallas Dental Hygiene Society, and Texas Dental Health Society.

A Dental Hygiene Program Alumnae Association holds meetings and prints a newsletter to keep graduates in touch after they leave the campus. The Alumnae Association and the Dental Hygiene Program sponsor continuing education programs for graduates and other dental hygienists.  Students are encouraged to participate in these events.
