To join GLISA, use the membership form (Word) or (pdf).

Why does GLISA charge membership dues? Your membership dues ensure and make it possible for GLISA, the Graduate Library and Information Studies Association-ALA's student chapter, to continue operations. GLISA is a non-profit organization. Your membership dues are used to benefit TWU-SLIS students in our programs and events such as sending a GLISA representative to the annual ALA conference, office supplies, and necessary expenditures. GLISA is aware of the financial limitations of our student members and strives to keep the membership dues as reasonable as possible. Thank you for your support.

If you're still wondering why you should join GLISA membership, here's a few more reasons:

  • An opportinity to develop leadership skills
  • It gives you access to a Blackboard class where tips are shared.

  • It lets you network and get to know your fellow students, as well as develop professional relationships beneficial to your career.
