TWU Earth Day

Happy Earth Day, TWU!
Commuter Coffee Stops: ASB and Tennis Court Parking Lots 7:30-9am
Free coffee and re-usable travel mugs for students while they last!
TWU Facilities Display: CFO 2nd Floor 9-11am
Facilities Management will have multiple demos and displays of TWU sustainability efforts. Please stop by to learn more!
Annual Tree Planting: TWU Gardens: Texas Pond 10:30am
This year, Facilities will be planting a River Birch tree at the Texas Pond (across the street from the Greenhouse) to celebrate Earth Day.
Reception for Earth Week Exhibition: Pioneer Center for Student Excellence (Library 2nd Floor) 4-5:30pm
Highlight students who have completed class projects related to sustainability of natural resources.

‘Trash’-ion Fashion Design Contest winners from TWU will be modeling outfits during reception

Annual Events

Apartment Fair

Each November & March, apartment complexes throughout Denton come to TWU to showcase their properties. To view pictures or a list of participating vendors please visit our Apartment Fair site!

TWU Salutes Veterans

Each November, TWU hosts a variety of events to celebrate Veteran's Day.  

This year our Veteran's Day Program will be held November 11th, on the Downtown Denton Square at the Old Court House.

In addition to events on Veterans day, Commuter and Non-Traditional Services, in conjunction with other campus partners sponsors a variety of events for veterans throughout the year.

Commuter Breaks

Twice a month, Commuter Services provides free snacks, bottled water, games, and prizes for commuter students from 4:30-6:00pm, typically in MCL or ASB.

Commuter Appreciation Week

Every October and March, Commuter Services dedicates an entire week to you! Events typically include a Commuter Lunch, Commuter Breaks & Breakfasts, give-aways, and other events designed especially for commuter students!

Non-Traditional Student Week

Non-Traditional Student Week is a national event held the first full week of November each year.

Holiday Gift Program

The Holiday Gift Program was established several years ago to assist TWU student families with financial needs by providing gifts for their children during the holiday season. Applications to participate in the program as a recipient or a donor are made available in October each year.
