City of Denton implements CodeRED

The City of Denton announced the launching of “CodeRED,” a high-speed emergency telephone notification service. The CodeRED system gives public safety officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification messages to targeted areas of city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.

Campus closings are posted on the Bad Weather Information line within a half hour of a decision to close. So, you don't have to wait until 8 a.m. to call and see if your campus is closed. If the message on the Bad Weather Information line doesn't state the campus is closed, then the campus is open.
