TWU's well known "The Signing Connection" is a sign choir sponsored by the department. The goal of the choir is to connect the deaf and hearing worlds through music and sign language. The Signing Connection performs in sign language before civic organizations and churches, and participates in functions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, as well as on campus. They have also performed at Six Flags Over Texas and Sea World of Texas. The Signing Connection is open to all university students.
