Defining Civic Engagement

Civic Engagement is:

• Working to solve the problem, as well as, treat the symptom
• Developing skills for creating change and solving problems
• Leadership, learning, citizenship, and connections

Three Communities: TWU, Local, Global

Civic engagement is performed through different levels. We are striving to start out in the TWU community, then expanding to the local Denton area, eventually operating on a national/global scale. There are many ways to get involved on all three levels!
