About the Keynote Speaker
Madeline McClure is the Founding Director of TexProtects, the new advocacy division of Prevent Child Abuse Texas. She also serves as a psychotherapist working to heal the most severely abused and neglected children, adolescents and adults part-time at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center.

During the last several years, Ms. McClure has advocated tirelessly on behalf of Child Protective Services and the children they serve to hundreds of State legislators. Through the Child Abuse Prevention Advocacy Commission, she has spearheaded efforts to unite child advocates across the State of Texas to create a singular, organized message of public policy priorities to the 77th, 78th, 79th, 80th and 81st Texas State Legislature. Ms. McClure’s long-term advocacy goal is to help break the viscous cycle of abuse and neglect via prevention efforts with the goal of strengthening family functioning and community support systems for Texas families and their children.

Ms. McClure earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Rutgers College, Rutgers University, followed by a 9 year career on Wall Street in investments and finance. She later left the field to pursue her passion of working with children and in helping end the cycle of child abuse and neglect violence. Ms. McClure obtained Master of Science in Social Work degrees from both New York University and the University of Texas at Arlington.
