The date for Science Fair 2016 has been announced: mark your calendars for Saturday, April 9, 2016! The TWU Science Fair is presented by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Chemistry and Biology departments. The Science Fair is an exciting community outreach event that provides a venue for showcasing young talent, hard work, creativity, and achievement in the scientific field. Students receive valuable feedback on their science projects and compete within their grades and age groups for trophy prizes. All students will be awarded ribbons for their efforts.

This event is open to all students in public, private, parochial, and home school students in grades K-8.

Application Deadline: Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 5:00 pm

  • Project Application and Approval Form and Live Vertebrate Animal Forms will be available December 2016.


  • Entrance fee of $10 per student must be included with first two pages of the project form in order to be processed. Incomplete forms and unpaid submissions will not be processed. Fees are non-refundable.

  • Checks must be made payable to: Texas Woman's University. Please Note: A $30 fee will be charged for ALL RETURNED CHECKS Including electronic/web checks TWU processes all eligible returned checks through the Denton County District Attorney’s Hot Check Division. There will be an additional charge assessed by the Denton DA.

  • Cash payment may be made in person to Anna Ryan (CFO 1213 on the TWU Campus). Please call or email Anna at to arrange a time for payment drop-off.

  • Please be sure to submit all required paperwork in addition to your payment.

Rules & Procedures


The TWU Science Fair will take place Saturday, April 11th, 2015 from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm, in two sessions (a morning session for K-3 and an afternoon session for 4-8). As of 2016, participants must be present at both check-in and the awards ceremony in order to be eligible for any awards or raffle prizes.
