Biology Honors Scholars

Every year, exceptional biology students are accepted into the TWU Honors Scholar Program.

This program requires a capstone research project be undertaken by the student under the guidance of one of the biology faculty.

In order to arrange for a capstone research project, Biology Honors Scholars should:

  1. As soon as you are excepted into the honor scholar program, scholars should look over the research areas of each faculty member to identify research topics of interest to them.
  2. Before Spring Break of their Junior year (earlier is better and Freshman are encouraged), students should identify three (3) or more faculty and make arrangements to
    1. meet with them
    2. learn about their research
    3. discuss with the professor about the possibility of doing research in their lab.
  3. Fill out the form below and provide it to the Chair of Biology.
