1)      Where is Pioneer Hall?

Pioneer Hall is located on the Texas Woman’s University Denton Campus between Bell Avenue, Administration Drive, and Chapel Drive on the East side of Bell Avenue. The physical address for TWU is:

304 Administration Drive
Denton, TX 76204

However, this does not get you directly to Pioneer Hall. Please see the campus map for more detailed directions. Pioneer Hall is labeled number 79.

2)      Where do I park?

There is parking available closest to Pioneer Hall on the North and West sides of the building. All buses need to park on the far west side of the lot near the TWU Tennis Courts. Parking spaces marked with black paint or “All Decal Parking” are permissible parking spaces on the day of the Science Fair.

3)      What is the schedule for the day?

The schedule for the day will be available December 2015.

4)      Can I have someone else drop off my science project for me?

In order to be considered eligible for Science Fair prizes and/or awards, participants MUST be present at the time of their age group's check-in and awards ceremony.

5)      What if the student can’t attend the fair, or can’t drop off/pickup their exhibits during the scheduled time?

Projects checked in by parents, teachers, or guardians will not be considered eligible for awards. Participants must be present to check in their projects and collect any awards, raffle prizes, or goodie bags in person. Projects not picked up will be discarded.

6)      Do students need to be present during the judging?

At this time, the TWU Science Fair Judges do not interview students during the Fair. With more than 400 projects entered in the fair, there just is not enough time in one day to speak to each student, so project judging is based on the student exhibits. The project set-up area is closed during the judging times.

Activities will be organized for TWU Science Fair participants while the judging takes place.

7)     Will lunch be provided?

Due to the large number of participants, TWU is unable to provide complimentary lunches. We recommend that you bring a sack lunch, or visit one of the nearby restaurants. Some concessions will also be sold throughout the event in Pioneer Hall by TWU Athletics.

8)      What can we do at TWU while we wait for the projects to be judged?

TWU will have several activities and small tours (both guided and self-guided) available for students and their chaperones.  There will also be a KEM Club Magic show just before the awards are announced.
