Q. What is the TWU Annual Fund?
A. The TWU Annual Fund is a gift-giving opportunity for all – gifts are completely unrestricted by the donor so that the University administration, particularly the Chancellor and Provost, may determine the needs, opportunities and priorities of the university and fund those initiatives. There is a huge gap between the amount of money appropriated by the State of Texas and the budget needed to continue to provide the quality education for which TWU is known. Annual Fund dollars will be used to narrow that funding gap.
Q. Why should I give to the Annual Fund over another fund?
A. Gifts to the Annual Fund touch ALL students at the university whereas restricted gifts may only reach a few talented students. Unrestricted gifts are vital to making certain that TWU provides a quality education for all our students.
Q. How can I make a gift to the TWU Annual Fund?
A. You may make a gift to the TWU Annual Fund by printing the Response Form on the web, by calling us at 940-898-3863, or by going to our secure Make a Gift website. We would love to visit with you personally to let you know how important Annual Fund gifts are and how much we appreciate your support of TWU.
Q. How can my gift be increased?
A. If you work for or retired from a company that has a Matching Gift program, your gift may be making your gift go further.
Q. Can I designate my gift to areas other than the Annual Fund?
A. Absolutely. You may designate your gift to the account, scholarship or initiative you choose. We believe in a donor-centered development program, and we want YOU to be comfortable with the selection you have made. We want our donors to be contributors for a lifetime – not just for one time.
Q. Can I give online?
A. Absolutely – visit our secure Make a Gift website. If at any time, you encounter difficulties with the website, please feel free to call at 940-898-3863. We are here to help and to make the gift-giving process easy for you.
Q. Is my gift to the Annual Fund tax deductible?
A. YES! ALL gifts to Texas Woman’s University are tax deductible as provided by law; however, as IRS regulations govern your contributions, we do suggest that you discuss any tax deduction with your financial advisor.
