The mathematics placement tests, given by TWU Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, will determine which mathematics class you should take. Students who have not meet their TSI plan must enroll in either MATH 1113 or 1123. The student's score on the mathematics exam will determine placement.
A student is exempt from the math Placement tests if they have one of the following scores.
- 550 or higher on the SAT math
- 22 or higher on the ACT math,
- 270 or greater on THEA math
- 63 or higher on Accuplacer (college algebra)or
- Obtained a grade of "C" or higher on a college-level math course.
If you are exempt from taking the placement tests, please bring documentation with you to orientation, in case we have not received your scores.
